ABOUT THE BRAND
The company was founded in 1967 and mainly offered men's ties. It gained prominence when it opened its own boutique in Bloomingdale's in 1969. Ralph Lauren opened a store in Beverly Hills in 1971; that year, it launched its Polo line of womenswear, which led to the brand becoming more popular due to its perky and peppy designs. With the collaboration with L'Oreal, Ralph Lauren launched its own line of fragrances, starting with Polo cologne for men and Lauren for women, among other scents like Midnight Romance by Ralph Lauren.
