Labdanum closes it out solo, warm and resinous, the note supplying the "flame" the name promises. Where the original Eternity crowds its structure with eight or nine notes per stage, this edition strips everything down to one apiece, betting on clarity rather than density. Labdanum, an amber-resinous extract from a Mediterranean rockrose, is doing considerably more conceptual work than its single mention suggests, lending actual warmth and smoke to what would otherwise be a fairly delicate, floral-driven composition. Labeled Eternity Flame Perfume, this Eau de Parfum is classed as floral amber and built for evening wear, the resinous labdanum base doing most of the warming work by itself.
